Real Estate Agent BIO - Tara Banninger
Although newly licensed in the state of PA in 2018, I'm not new to Real Estate. I first caught the Real Estate bug in 2001 when my mom was selling our childhood home for her move across country to Montana. I thought, I could do this.
In 2002 I obtained my license and went to work as a licensed assistant to one of NYC's powerhouse agents. I figured if I was going to be good at this, I needed to learn from the best. And , she was and still is one of NYC's best agents. I'm happy to still call her a friend and mentor to this day.
In 2003, I set out on my own as an agent on Long Island and more specifically, on the North Shore of Nassau County. Having learned from the best, I was on fire and quickly became a top lister in my office. In my first 12 months of real estate I closed well over $4 million in sales. Not bad for a rookie!
In 2006, after giving birth to my first son, I slowed down. In 2008 we decided we needed a change and so we made the decision to move to Pennsylvania and settled into the Carbon County area (Mahoning Valley). Since I wasn't familiar with Pennsylvania, I didn't feel I could deliver the same level of service to clients that I did in NY. And so, I embarked on a different adventure and started my own wedding planning business and quickly took charge of the beautiful Mauch Chunk Ballroom in Jim Thorpe.
I still always felt that pull to real estate and missed it. After living in PA for a decade (2 years in Mahoning Valley and 8 years with my current husband in the Lehigh Valley) I am confident in my knowledge of the area and the strong network of people that I have been blessed to connect with, that I decided to hang up my wedding planning shoes , let out the wedding planning bun, and get back to my first love; Real Estate.
I'm a believer in under promise, over deliver. I believe in honesty and integrity. I'm always available for my clients to call, text or email me at any time with any questions or concerns. Buying or selling a home can be stressful but it doesn't have to be, and I will work hard to make the sale or purchase of your next home as smooth as possible.
In addition to my Realtor® designation, I also hold a BBA with a major in Marketing and a minor in Small Business Management.
I look forward to being your Realtor® for life.
