After 20 years of making many of my own personal and extremely successful home purchases and sales in Washington DC, I've decided to use my expert knowledge and true passion for real estate to help others masterfully navigate the District's real estate market. My husband and I purchased our first home in Mount Pleasant, DC in 1998. At this time, Mount Pleasant was still considered a transitional neighborhood. Having had the smarts to see the potential in both the house and the neighborhood proved to be the best financial and lifestyle decision we ever made. Taking a leap of faith, we decided to see if perhaps we had an eye for real estate. Our next two purchases were in Colombia Heights around 2003 and 2004. After a few years of renting those homes, we sensed that the market was changing. We sold those properties and cashed out in 2008. The market took a downward turn in 2010. At that point, having made several successful purchases and sales, we felt confident enough that it wasn't just dumb luck. We were hooked on what has become my most pleasurable and fruitful endeavor yet; buying and selling real estate! We continue to purchase properties annually growing our small business. Currently, we own several income producing, steadily appreciating rental properties in the District. We also still live in Mount Pleasant. Turns out I also had a talent for making a wise personal home purchase, We have grown into our home, not out of it.
